Who I am:

My working life started out with a career in Higher Education in the field of Communication and Media Studies. I later completed my Honours degree in Psychology at the University of Witwatersrand and subsequently completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Western Cape.

During my internship year I was placed at Valkenberg Hospital where I completed rotations at Alexandra Hospital, Groote Schuur Hospital, and the Female High Care Unit at Valkenberg Hospital. I completed my Community Service year at Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital within the Male Acute Unit, providing individual and group therapy to inpatients, conducting assessments, training staff and students, and supervising students. I currenlty provide clinical psychology services at the Bergvliet Family Practice in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Dignity is an essential principle that guide my life and work. I therefore aim to provide a therapeutic space where the dignity of the client can be restored. It includes an open-hearted embrace of the client’s otherness and individuality.
